Free to Please by Alex Perez
S - “Obviously, I’m not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ’s servant.”
Galatians 1:10 (NLT)
O - The author of this epistle is the Apostle Paul and he is writing this letter to the churches in the Galatia area (modern day turkey). The main reason for this letter was to realign the minds and hearts of the newly converts to the original faith and freedom from Christ. Something the Jews were trying to abolish by their teaching of works (customs) and rituals.
A - Yes, we live in a free country and do have a right to express that freedom in many ways. Through generations of enjoying that act of "freedom" I feel as if we lost sight of truth, which is liberty by faith in Christ. Many voice their own opinion on how life should be and look, the rest either follow or establish their own way. Christ is the way, the truth and the life (John 14:6) if our eyes are open to accepting that and Him, He will lead us into a faith lead life. Which ultimately wells us into lives that please God, not man.
P - Lord, open my eyes to freedom, the liberty that Christ offers; a life that would transform my mind and break me from conforming to the direction of the world.
